- Propane demand has shown steady growth throughout most of the 1990’s, rising about 300 MB/D, up more than 36 percent since 1990.
- Demand grew in 1999 due in part to higher petrochemical demand and a strong economy.
- Data through May show some decline in demand, which is mainly due to the falloff in petrochemical feedstock use. Propane prices have become less attractive than other feedstock prices.
