| Overview: No retail unbundling program is being considered at this time by either the Oregon Public Utility Commission or the State legislature. Legislation was enacted in 1999 to restructure the State's electricity industry. However, legislation (HB3633) passed in August 2001 delayed the date for implementing retail access for large industrial electricity customers from October 2001 to March 2002. |
| EIA State Data: In 2007, Oregon had 664,455 residential and 80,998 commercial customers. They consumed approximately 43 and 29 billion cubic feet of natural gas, respectively. The average prices residential and commercial customers paid for natural gas from local distribution companies were $14.65 and $12.36 per thousand cubic feet, respectively. |
