Errata for the Annual Energy Outlook 1999
as of  9/9/1999

1.  The units on Figure 73 should be "1997 cents per kilowatthour" not "1997 mills per kilowatthour".

2.  The units on Figure 75 should be "gigawatts" not "megawatts".
     (change made on 8/31/1999)

3.   The historical Lower 48 average crude oil wellhead prices for 1996 and 1997 were incorrectly reported. 
      The correct prices are as follows:

       The 1996 price appears in Table A15. The 1997 price appears in Tables A15, B15, C15, and F12. The wellhead price 
       growth rate on Table A15 would  also change, since 1997 is the base year for the rate. The new growth rate would be 
       0.8 % not 1.3%. Wellhead price growth rates for the other tables were not published in the printed report but were 
       provided for Table B15 and Table C15 in Appendix tables on the Internet. These latter growth rates should be changed as follows:

                        Table B15 - Low Economic Growth             0.6 % not 1.0 %

4.   On Page 72, in Column 1 - The last sentence should read "Lower capital costs and projected
      improvements in gas turbine heat rates make the overall cost of gas-generated electricity per kilowatthour
      competitive with the cost of electricity from new coal-burning generators."
