The Overview presented here summarizes the revised early release version of the AEO2008 reference case and replaces the version that was initially posted in December, 2007 and the Senate testimony that was posted in early March, 2008. The early release was revised to include the impact of H.R.6, “Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007” that was enacted in late December, 2007. The Annual Energy Outlook presents a projection and analysis of U.S. energy supply, demand, and prices through 2030. The projections are based on results from the Energy Information Administration’s National Energy Modeling System. The full publication, to be released at the end of May, 2008, will include complete documentation and additional cases examining energy markets.
