EIA's monthly and annual data on deliveries or sales of natural gas are obtained from natural gas utilities and other energy service providers, which often use their service classes to report data by energy-use sector. Depending on their recordkeeping practices, respondents:

• may exclude deliveries or sales to apartment buildings or homes on military bases (these buildings or homes may be included in the commercial sector);
  
• may include deliveries or sales to small commercial customers.
