EIA's consolidated reports (the State Energy Data Report, the Monthly Energy Review, and the Annual Energy Review) present monthly and annual data on consumption of petroleum products.

Data on commercial use of distillate, residual fuel oil and kerosene, are based on sales data described in item C1. Information provided in item C1 on apartment buildings, and military use applies to data in these three publications.

Data on commercial use of motor gasoline in these publications are obtained from the Federal Highway Administration. These data cover non-highway use only by State, county, and municipal government agencies. Federal agency use of gasoline is excluded from the commercial sector.
