aEnd-use sector data include electricity sales and associated electrical system energy losses. f"Other" is geothermal, wind, photovoltaic, solar thermal energy, and net imports of electricity.
bU.S. total energy and U.S. industrial sector include 44.2 trillion Btu of net imports of coal coke that is not
allocated to the States.
gNet interstate flow of electricity is the difference between the amount of energy in the electricity sold within
a State (including associated losses) and the energy input at the electric utilities within the State. A positive
number indicates that more electricity (including associated losses) came into the State than went out of the
State during the year; conversely, a negative number indicates that more electricity (including associated
losses) went out of the State than came into the State.
cIncludes supplemental gaseous fuels. Where shown, (s) = Value less than 0.05 trillion Btu.
dConventional hydroelectric power.  Does not include pumped-storage hydroelectricity. Note:  Totals may not equal sum of components due to independent rounding.
eWood and waste. Sources:  Data sources, estimation procedures, and assumptions are described in the Technical Notes.
