Energy Education Resources:
Kindergarten Through 12th Grade

Students and teachers looking for a comprehensive guide to sources of information about energy and energy-related topics need look no further than Energy Education Resources: Kindergarten Through 12th Grade, recently updated and released by the Energy Information Administration.

The new edition of Energy Education Resources (EER) contains 159 entries for nonprofit organizations, businesses, government agencies, energy producers, universities, and other groups that exist to provide energy information in various forms or do so as an adjunct to their primary activities.

The EER's listings are shown alphabetically and range from the Air & Waste Management Association and the Alliance to Save Energy to Women in Mining, Inc. and Xcel Energy. Each entry includes the address, telephone number, and a brief description of the organization and the energy-related materials it offers. Most of the entries also include Internet and e-mail addresses. Entries are cross-referenced in a subject index at the back of the publication.

Please note that some organizations express policy positions on energy issues in the materials they offer. The Energy Information Administration, as the independent statistical agency within the Department of Energy, does not advocate any policy position, and makes EER available strictly for the purpose of helping students and educators to locate materials.
