Menu Bar Value of Shipments | Annual Production | Labor Productivity

The glass industry continues to compete vigorously in all segments. Products of purchased glass and pressed and blown glass (specialty glass) have been the fastest growing segments, while container glass has struggled with intermaterial competition. In addition, flat glass is highly dependent on automotive and construction markets. Of the glass melting segments, pressed and blown glass has the highest value of shipments, followed by mineral wool (fiberglass insulation) and glass containers.
