Menu Bar Cogeneration Technologies | Generic Technologies

Cogeneration technologies include steam turbines (supplied by boilers or waste-heat recovery), conventional or combined-cycle combustion turbines, or internal combustion engines. In chemical plants, cogeneration is most often accomplished using a combination of two or more of these technologies. [MECS 1994] The chart below illustrates the energy consumed by establishments using a particular type of cogeneration technology, not necessarily the energy consumed by the technology itself.
