Recurring & One-Time Reports

International Petroleum Monthly - April 2008 (5/12/2008)
This report contains world petroleum production data through February 2008; and OECD country petroleum demand, imports, and stocks data through January 2008. Also included are international oil balance data for 2003-2007 and annual petroleum data series for 1970-2007.

OPEC Revenues Fact Sheet (05/06/2008) (PDF - 0 meg)
This report includes estimates of OPEC net oil export revenues, based on projections from the May 2008 Short Term Energy Outlook. EIA estimates that members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) earned $674 billion in net oil export revenues in 2007, a 10 percent increase from 2006. Saudi Arabia earned the largest share of these earnings, $194 billion, representing 29 percent of total OPEC revenues. On a per-capita basis, OPEC net oil export earning reached $1,143, a 8 percent increase from 2006. Based on projections from the EIA May 2008 Short Term Energy Outlook (STEO), OPEC net oil export revenues could be $1,060 billion in 2008 and $990 billion in 2009 (please note that estimates for individual OPEC members are not available for the forecast period).

Short-Term Energy Outlook May 2008 (05/06/2008)
Quarterly short-term energy projections for supply, demand, and price for the major fuels through 2009 for the U.S. International oil forecasts are included.

Monthly Energy Review (04/24/2008)
EIA's primary report of recent energy statistics: total energy production, consumption, and trade; energy prices; overviews of petroleum, natural gas, coal, electricity, nuclear energy, renewable energy, and international petroleum; and data unit conversions. In the first quarter of 2008, the average number of rotary rigs drilling onshore and offshore in the United States---primarily for crude oil and natural gas---stood at 1,770, 2 percent more than the average in the first quarter of 2007 and 16 percent more than the average in the first quarter of 2006. Foreign Direct Investment in U.S. Energy 2005 (02/06/2008)
Today the Energy Information Administration released the report, Foreign Direct Investment in U.S. Energy 2005. This report describes the role of direct foreign ownership of U.S. energy enterprises with respect to their energy operations, capital investments, and net foreign investment flows (including net loans). In addition, since energy investments are made in a global context, the report examines patterns of direct investment in foreign energy enterprises by U.S.-based companies.

Performance Profiles of Major Energy Producers 2006 (12/14/2007)
Today the Energy Information Administration (EIA) released Performance Profiles of Major Energy Producers 2006, a legislatively mandated annual report to the U.S. Congress. Performance Profiles 2006 presents a comprehensive financial review and analysis of the domestic and worldwide operations of the major U.S.-based energy-producing companies. The report examines the majors’ operations primarily on a consolidated corporate level, by individual lines of business, by major functions within each line-of-business, and by various geographic regions.

Early Release of the Reference Case from the Annual Energy Outlook 2008 (12/12/2007)
The AEO2008 presents long-term projections of energy supply, demand, and prices through 2030, which are based on results from EIAs National Energy Modeling System (NEMS). The AEO2008 Early Release only includes the reference case. The full publication, including complete documentation and over 30 additional cases examining energy markets will be released early 2008.

World LNG Imports by Origin, 2006 (11/20/2007)
A table with country-level imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by country of origin for the year 2006 is now available. The table is also provided in Excel spreadsheet format. These tables for 2006, as well as tables for the years 1993-2005, are also available on the International Natural Gas Trade Page. Data in the 2004 and 2005 tables have just been revised and updated.

Advance Tables from Performance Profiles of Major Energy Producers 2006 (11/16/2007)
These 35 tables are advance copies of the tables that will appear as Appendix B in Performance Profiles of Major Energy Producers, 2006, which will be published in December 2007. The tables consist of aggregated financial and operating statistics of the major U.S.-based energy companies that report to the Energy Information Administration on the Financial Reporting System (FRS) EIA-28 survey.

International Energy Annual 2005 (10/24/2007)
The International Energy Annual 2005 is the Energy Information Administration's primary report of international energy statistics. Included are data on energy consumption and production; overviews of petroleum, natural gas, coal, and electricity, as well as carbon dioxide emissions from the use of fossil fuels, petroleum prices, energy reserves, and population; and data unit conversion tables. For many series, data cover the years 1980-2005. Also included is a World Energy Overview comparing 1995 and 2005.

Annual Energy Review 2006 (06/27/2007)
The Annual Energy Review 2006 reports U.S. energy history from 1949-2006 in data tables and figures. All major forms of energy (fossil fuels, nuclear electricity, and renewable energy) and total energy by activity (e.g., production, consumption, trade, stocks, and prices) are covered. Also included are financial indicators related to energy; international energy; environmental indicators; and data unit conversions. Key long-term trends are graphically illustrated in a special section called "Energy Perspectives."

Natural Gas Data for the International Energy Annual 2005 (06/22/2007)
Excel spreadsheets with: (1) time series data for the years 1980-2005 on: (a) the consumption and production of dry natural gas measured in both cubic feet and British thermal units (Btu) and (b) gross heat content of both dry natural gas consumption and dry natural gas production; (2) time series data for the years 1990-2005 for dry natural gas imports and exports; (3) detailed data for natural gas production and dry natural gas supply and disposition (including imports and exports) for the year 2004; and (4) estimates of proved reserves of natural gas as of January 1, 2006. Acquistions and Divestitures by Foreign Direct Investors in U.S. Energy 2005 (05/23/2007)
Today the Energy Information Administration released the Acquisitions and Divestitures by Foreign Direct Investors in U.S. Energy 2005 report. This report reviews acquisitions of U.S. energy assets by foreign investors in 2005. Foreign direct acquisitions are purchases, directly or indirectly, by the original foreign investor resulting in the ownership of 10 percent or more of the voting securities of an incorporated U.S. business enterprise or the equivalent interest in an unincorporated U.S. business.

International Energy Outlook 2007 (05/21/2007)
This report provides an assessment of international energy markets with projections of worldwide energy production and consumption by fuel type and region to the year 2030. The report also provides projections of energy-related carbon dioxide emisions by source.
