| Notes: Pre-purchase includes Altura Energy proportionally in BP Amoco and Royal Dutch/Shell, and ARCO Long Beach in ARCO. Post-purchase includes Altura and Long Beach in Occidental Petroleum. Production and reserves for BP Amoco and Royal Dutch/Shell are each group of companies' production and reserves reported on a consolidated basis and adjusted to include each company's share of Altura Energy's production and reserves. For financial reporting purposes, BP Amoco accounts for Altura on a consolidated basis, while Royal Dutch/Shell accounts for Altura on an equity basis. Royal Dutch/Shell's dry natural gas reserves are adjusted to exclude liquefiable hydrocarbons which are also included in its natural gas liquids reserves. Production and reserves for Occidental and ARCO are the companies' production and reserves reported on a consolidated basis. Long Beach's production and reserves are assumed to be included in ARCO's consolidated production and reserves and to consist entirely of liquids. BP Amoco's dry natural gas production includes 79 billion cubic feet of gas consumed in its Alaskan operations, and ARCO's dry natural gas production includes 79 billion cubic feet of gas consumed in its U.S. operations.
