Size of BuildingsThe number of commercial buildings by size of building is shown below (Figure 9). Almost 2.6 million buildings are found in the smallest building size category, nearly three times as many as the 948,000 in the next smallest size category. Only 8,000 buildings are larger than 500,000 sq. ft. in size (0.2% of total buildings). Figure 9.
