Census Region and DivisionThe amount of commercial floorspace and number of commercial buildings by Census Region and Census Division are shown below (Figures 7 and 8). The South Region has the largest amount of floorspace (26.7 billion sq. ft.) and number of buildings (1.9 million buildings) of the four regions. The South Atlantic Division, one of the three divisions in the South Region, has the most floorspace (14.0 billion sq. ft.) and most buildings (926,000 buildings) of all nine divisions. Figure 7.
