  • In 64 percent of the Denver/Boulder area fleets, all of the vehicles are company-owned.
  • In 16 percent of the Denver/Boulder area fleets, most (80 percent or more) of the vehicles are leased.
  • The ability to dispose of or find buyers of used alternative-fuel vehicles, when they are no longer needed in the fleet, is the responsibility of private-company managers or lessors, depending upon who owns the vehicles.
  • Thus, the responsibility for the disposal/resale of used alternative-fuel vehicles falls to the private company in most fleets.
