Duties
Mr. Durbin is responsible for agency level human resource, general administrative policy/activities, budget formulation/execution, physical security, contracts management and management coordination of strategic and program planning.

Biography
Mr. Durbin came to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) in 1994 as a senior management and program analyst assigned to the Office of the Administrator. Previously, he served eight years as the senior administrative officer in the Department of Energy's Office of Policy. Prior to joining the Department in 1986, Mr. Durbin held management and analyst positions with the Department of Education, the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of Personnel Management. His over 36 years of Federal service includes four and half years in the U.S. Army, where he rose to the rank of Captain in the Signal Corps. His military service includes 18 months in Vietnam during 1967/68.

Mr. Durbin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland.
