Description: This pie chart shows that renewable energy consumption made up 6 percent of total U.S. energy consumption which was 97.6 quadrillion Btu in 2002. Hydroelectric energy provided 45 percent of renewable energy consumption, while nonhydroelectric energy sources collectively provided the remaining 55 percent.
