Description: This combination line/bar chart shows that from 1993 through 2000 steady increases in PV cell and module export shipments (which dwarfed import shipments) drove rapid growth in total shipments. However, in 2001, exports dropped while domestic shipments grew rapidly and total shipments reached a high of about 98,000 peak kilowatts. In 2002 a new high of 122,000 peak kilowatts was driven by an increase of 9,000 peak kilowatts in domestic shipments and 5,400 in exports.
