Domestic Uranium Production Report (updated November 7, 2005):
Statistical data on third quarter 2005 production and operating status along with the U.S. uranium industry’s activities relating to uranium production for 2004. U.S. uranium production industry initiated a turnaround in 2004. All U.S. uranium drilling, mining, production, and employment activities increased for the first time since 1998. One new underground mine and one new in-situ leach mine commenced operations in 2004. Total U.S. uranium concentrate (yellowcake) production in 2004 was 2.3 million pounds U3O8, 14 percent above the 2003 estimated level. Employment in the U.S. uranium production industry totaled 420 person-years, an increase of 31 percent from the 2003 total. Overall, $86.9 million went to land, exploration, drilling, production, reclamation and restoration activities in 2004.

Uranium Marketing Annual Report (updated April 29, 2005):
Statistical data on uranium marketing activities in the United States for 2004, including purchases of uranium and enrichment services, average prices of uranium deliveries, new and future requirements, fuel assemblies loaded into U.S. civilian nuclear power reactors, and commercial inventories. Owners and operators of U.S. civilian nuclear power reactors purchased from U.S. and foreign suppliers a total of 64 million pounds U3O8e (equivalent) of deliveries during 2004. The weighted-average price paid was $12.61 per pound U3O8e, an increase of 17 percent compared with the 2003 price.
