Domestic Uranium Production Report - Quarterly
3rd Quarter 2009
U.S. production of uranium concentrate was 956,657 pounds U3O8, down 3 percent from the previous quarter and down 2 percent from the third quarter 2008. During the third quarter 2009, U.S. uranium concentrate was produced at four U.S. uranium concentrate processing facilities, three less than at the end of 2008.

As of September 2009, U.S. uranium concentrate production totaled 2,819,453 pounds U3O8. This amount is 2 percent lower than the 2,864,437 pounds produced during the first nine months of 2008.
