In 1997, original equipment manufactures were responsible for 87,985 vehicles, in 1998, a sharp increased occurred with 230,675 vehicles, in 1999, again a substantial rise to 445,680 vehicles and in 2000, original equipment manufacturers made available 630,894 onroad AFVs, representing a 41% increase over the previous year.
