In 1997, onroad AFVs made available were 104,779, in 1998 the number of onroad AFVs increased to 235,106, in 1999 the number continued to rise to 448,154. In 2000, the number of onroad AFVs made available rose to its current standing of 633,351. Between 1997 and 1998, onroad AFVs made available increased by 40 percent between the two years.
